Lib Dem councillors let down Refuse Collectors and Remploy Staff
It is clear that this Lid Dem/Conservative council only care about themselves. They didn't do much to help the Remploy workers out and now can't honour wages and conditions to refuse collectors. They should be removed from office, because they clearly don't support their own community. Derek Maylor, Sutton Campaign actvist and trade unionist states, "We have had Remploy and now the refuse workers, when are the Lib Dem council going to support local workers!"

I notice your link to the morning star - Says it all really!! No wonder we have 3 Lib Dems in sutton. Whatever happend to propper Labour Party activity in sutton.
Theres not much on the site about what you are doing for sutton and how you can make a differance to the area.
You lot are the reason the Lib Dems have control of Sutton. For too long you have been spouting to much loony clap trap and nothing about how you can make a differance to local people. I lost faith in you lot years ago at local level. The only way you can get me back and many others in my view is by showing us you are aware of & care about local issues.
As an employee of the council that is involved in the refuse issue you mention, can you explain to me your position, activity, and a way forward to resolve it without us loseing money. Its easy for you to call the Libs without putting your case for resolution.
Mr Maylor should remember that the closure of the local Remploy factory, putting nearly 200 disabled employees out of work is a result of decisions made by the Labour Party, only they had the authority to approve closures.
He has the audacity to criticise the Dem/Conservative council for failing to support the Remploy workers in a fight against decisions taken by Labour and the now discredited Mr Hain.
If we follow Mr Maylors line of thought, surely the Labour Party should be removed from office for sanctioning the closure of Remploy factories in communities across the UK.
To Mr Derek Maylor, I say , if you cannot support the Remploy workers, please do not use us to score political points against the council, Labour have a much bigger burden of guilt to carry'.
